Students from Newcastle TAFE are involved in a poster design competition for Earth Hour 2009. The designs will be focus on the "Step it up" message, this is the theme of this year's Earth Hour activities.
A shortlist of designs will be reviewed by the Earth Hour project team on Friday 6 March.
Hunter Institute Director Mr Phil Cox and Newcastle Region Art Gallery Director Mr Ron Ramsey will join the project team to select the winning design. This will be used for Earth Hour promotions throughout the Hunter.
The top designs will be available on Newcastle City Council's website http://www.newcastle.nsw.gov.au/ from next week.
